Business Solutions

For consultants

We would rather place you three times than once.

Most of the people we place have worked with us before, or were referred by someone who has. That only happens if the experience is worth repeating — which shapes how we do almost everything.

What you can expect

The things contractors tell us are missing elsewhere.

A real brief, not a job title

We will tell you who you would report to, what the programme is actually trying to do, and what the difficult parts are. You can then decide properly.

A rate you can see the logic of

We will tell you the rate we are proposing and the basis for it. If the client's band will not stretch, we will say so rather than let you find out at offer stage.

Honest feedback

If you are not shortlisted, you will hear why. If the client passes after an interview, you get the actual reason, not a silence.

Someone who is still there afterwards

Check-ins at 30, 60 and 90 days. If something is wrong on the assignment, we would rather hear it early and help fix it.

A conversation before the end

We start looking at what is next about sixty days before your assignment ends, so there is no gap you did not see coming.

Paid on time

Timesheet in, invoice out, paid on the agreed date. We carry the risk of the client's payment terms, not you.

What we look for

Honest about who we can place.

Our clients are banks, insurers and assurers, and they are almost always looking for people who have worked in that environment before. Experience in a regulated financial institution is the single strongest signal on a CV we receive.

The market has also shifted. Demand at the junior end has thinned considerably, while genuinely senior specialists — eight years and beyond, in a scarce skill — are harder to find than at any point we can remember. We are straight with people about which side of that line their profile currently sits on.

We recruit against six skill families. If your specialism sits outside them, we will tell you rather than keep your CV on file for a call that will not come.

Cloud & platform engineering

Azure, AWS, containers, platform and site reliability

Data engineering, analytics & AI
